Topographic Surveys
A topographic survey locates all surface features of a property, and depicts all-natural features and elevations. In essence it is a 3-dimensional map of a 3-dimensional property showing all natural and man-made features and improvements. Specifically, it shows their location, size, height and any changes in elevation.

As-Built Surveys
An as-built survey is a detailed survey that documents the exact dimensions, locations, and layout of a building or infrastructure after construction or installation is completed. It reflects the actual built condition versus the original design plans.

Setting Out / Stakeout
Stakeout surveying is setting and marking the positions of various points on a construction site that the architect or engineer has predetermined. This is typically done with stakes or flags placed in the ground at the appropriate location.

Boundary / Plot Verification
A boundary survey provides exact property lines, dimensions, and area. It shows locations of structures, improvements, and any encroachments. It also identifies recorded easements, rights-of-way, and includes a detailed map (plat).

Quantity & Area Measurement
The area of a shape can be measured by comparing the shape to squares of a fixed size. In the International System of Units (SI), the standard unit of area is the square metre (written as m2), which is the area of a square whose sides are one metre long.
